Royal Institute of Technology participated in a fuel cell powered vehicle in the Shell Eco Marathon in Germany at the end of May. The Competition is about achieving the longest possible distance on as little fuel as possible and participants are students from numerous countries coming together in the spirit of healthy competition. In the Urban Concept class managed KTH car Spiros got a stretch of 60 km at 1 kWh of electricity, equivalent to 530 kilometers per liter of gasoline, which was enough to make an excellant position in the results list.

KTH students had themselves built the entire system, in this educational experience. Hydrogen Sweden, was one of the KTH team’s sponsors.
