The Hydrogen Infrastructure for Transport (HIT) project, the first TEN-T project dealing with hydrogen, was presented at the TEN-T Days in Tallinn, at the innovation and new technologies session on Wednesday 16 October by Floris Mulder, HIT coordinator. The presentation can be found here.
HIT also had a stand in a good location next to one of the coffee break areas, allowing good contacts to be made (local/regional authorities, journalists etc). The HIT stand consisted of HIT posters, HIT leaflets, the HIT presentation and hydrogen-related videos on a large plasma screen, including the HIT video developed by Vätgas Sverige/Hydrogen Sweden, as well as Mr Mulder’s presentation.
The HIT project “cocktail” and toast took place on Wednesday at 16.00 at the HIT stand. The HIT team toasted the one year anniversary of HIT and explained the status of the project at that point. The “cocktail” consisted of the footprint of all H2 projects – water!
Participants at TEN-T Days came from all travel modes, with rail being perhaps most prominent due in part to Rail Baltica, one of the TEN-T priority projects linking the Baltic states to Germany. Nonetheless, there was also a strong representation from land transport in the delegates, as well as from political representatives from the region.
Two other stands were directly related to HyER activities, plus of course the TEN-T Agencies/TENtec Information System stands opposite the HIT stand – International Green Electric Highways project (ESB/eCars) and Rapid Charge Network (Zero Carbon Futures). Other stands of interest included ITS Finland’s stand advertising the ITS European Congress in Helsinki next year, and DG REGIO’s stand.
