French firm Pragma Industries designed the world’s first commercial electric bike running on hydrogen, the Alpha bike. It takes only five minutes to charge its battery, which endures up to 100 kilometers of travel. Most importantly, the bike emits only pure water as waste and leaves an almost neutral carbon footprint. The company planned to produce 100 bikes in 2016 and up to 1000 by 2017. The cost of an Alpha is expected to be around €2300.
