On 13 June 2012, the hydrogen refuelling station Hynor Lillestrøm was officially opened with a number of partners, suppliers and sponsors present.
The opening was made by hydrogen responsible in Transnova, Konrad Pütz, the County of Akershus Nils Aage Jegstad and mayor of Skedsmo Ole Jacob Flæte who drove three hydrogen cars refuelled with renewable energy from Hynor Lillestrøm.
Prior to this, 65 participants gathered in the R&D building of Akershus Energy Park to listen to speeches given by Chairman Bjørg Andresen and project Øystein Ulleberg, both from the IFE, Per Arne Karlsen, Akershus Energi, Bjorn Simonsen, HyNor, Anette Solli and Solveig Schytz, Akershus County Council.
This is the fifth hydrogen refuelling station in the Greater Oslo Area, four of which are car-related stations, while all five stations are operating at 700 bar pressure.
