PitPoint clean fuels and QBuzz have officially launched the new hydrogen refuelling station for the Groningen site in Delfzijl co funded by the FCH JU High V.LO-City project and the Dutch Minsitry of Infrastructure and Watermanagement on 22 February, 2018.
The aim of the project is to deploy 14 hydrogen-fueled buses in four European cities, used as like-to-like replacement of conventional diesel buses and trolley buses and to contribute to the commercialisation of fuel cell electric buses in Europe
The station will fuel eventually 20 buses, two buses from Qbuzz operating on regional lines in Groningen and Drenthe. H2 is supplied via pipeline from near AkzoNobel’s Chemie Park in Delfzijl, coming as a by-product from the plant`s chlorine production.
The CTC Network promotes the accelerated transfer of environmentally sound technologies for low carbon and climate resilient development at the request of developing countries.
