H2IT appointed its new Board for 2008-2010. The Board elected as its president Aldo Fumagalli, chair of the Sustainable Development Committee of the largest industry organisation in Italy, Confindustria and CEO of Sol a multi-national industrial gas company. The newly elected president indicated five priority areas for H2IT:

• – Development of adequate Regulations, Codes and Standards;
• – Mapping and pursuing finances for national land local projects;
• – Inventarisation of Italian competences and research and industrial level;
• – Collaboration with the World Expo 2015 which will be held in Milan;
