Buses have long been seen as the first larger vehicles market potential for fuel cell powered vehicles, however long distance coaches have not been developed at large scale. Buses would also be an excellent “vehicle” to intoduce zero emission transport in developing countries as has recently been demonstrated in South Africa. “Green climate funding”, as in the famous Green Climate Fund of the UNFCCC that promised at the COP 15 in 2009 to build a 100 bln annual budget Green Climate Fund to fund green technology in developing countries, would be an excellent way to accelrate thsi introduction. However according to a recent OECD report only 71,5 bln has been collected since the official launch in 2013, of which 56.7 bln public funding and loans including export credits.
