HyResponse final Workshop (15 September 2016, ENSOSP, Aix-en-Provence)
Hydrogen and Fuel Cell (FCH) technologies and applications both in transport and energy sectors arrive at the market today. Fire authorities’ and First Responders’ awareness and knowledge of these new technologies are limited. Adequate training is therefore required to provide knowledge and essential skills on how to handle potential incidents/accidents at FCH systems and infrastructure; how to protect the public without putting First Responders’ own life at risk.
HyRESPONSE, an EU funded project, has established the first comprehensive training programme for first responders to facilitate safer deployment of FCH systems and infrastructure. Almost 100 participants (trainees and observers) have participated in the three pilot training sessions and provided their feedback.
The HyRESPONSE final workshop will gather the International First Responders and Hydrogen Safety community with the view to present the final results of HyRESPONSE training programme and exchange ideas on the next steps for hydrogen safety training.
International keynote speakers are invited, FCH technologies will be exhibited, an exclusive visit for the first operational platform for hydrogen safety training with an operational training in action and a virtual reality training session.
The final programme is coming out soon.
