The German railway company Eisenbahn-Bundesamt (EBA) as of December 2017 will deploy the iLint FC powered line from Buxtehude–Bremervörde–Bremerhaven–Cuxhaven. As the trains will emit only water (vapour) due to the conversion of hydrogen as a byproduct from the nearby chemical industry railways seem to have evolved the the new stean trains 4.0 from the coal based version since the 19 th century. The EHA is contributing to the BulkH2Rail project
