The Reiner Lemoine Institute, an independent and non-profit research institute that advocates for renewable energy, is looking for partners who want to integrate hydrogen into their operations. The project, ecoPtG, will study the relationship between hydrogen generation and consumption, and its economic and ecological benefits.

Scenarios currently under consideration include: supplying refueling stations, car and commercial vehicles fleets, logistics hubs, trains, ships, industrial processes, and the use of hydrogen as an energy storage medium. Ideally, real application scenarios are being sought for which a feasibility study can be conducted. Participants in the study will receive a scientific evaluation of the use of hydrogen so that individual recommendations for further action can be derived.

The project is supported by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy, with research partners IAV GmbH, Wasserelektrolyse Hydrotechnik GmbH and the Centre for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research (ZSW).
