The European Commission agreed State Aid financing of the € 67 mln Horizon Hydrogen Energy (H2E) program. The program is dedicated to the development of hydrogen vehicles with State Aid on October 8, 2008. Air Liquide together with 17 other French companies are collaborating in the program. The European Commission commented that “when the market is unable to trigger R&D (research and development) activity, well targeted state aid can create the right incentives”. Air Liquide recently opened its website devoted to the development of hydrogen as an energy vector at www.planete-hydrogene.com.
