EU Commission, EU Member States and EU Parliament concluded talks on October 26, 2022 to set up a zero-emissions sales mandate for new cars and vans by 2035. The deal secures a first win for the European Commission. At the same time it looks like the Commission seeks to protect the quick win diesel interests of EU’s automakers with reards to regulating non-CO2 emissions this coming November on the new Euro 7 norm , covering the exhaust fumes such as nitrogen oxides and ammonia along with tiny particulate matter from exhausts, tires and brakes.
