The EU Parliament Environmental Committee approved its report on the proposed Directive on Carbon Capture and Storage referring to the need to include all three CCS technologies, including pre combustion in which hydrogen is produced, in the proposed 12 zero emission power plants in Europe. Funding for the twelve plants has not been decided yet. It has been proposed to earmark some of the ETS revenues for CCS developments. It is expected that all dossiers will be voted in the EU Parliament Plenary on December 3-4, 2008.
