The European Commission and the Hungarian Presidency of the European Union are organising in Budapest on 16-17 May 2011 a conference on the future of European energy infrastructures: Towards a new European energy infrastructure instrument.
The main aim of this conference will be to allow Member State governments, regulators, transmission system operators, energy companies, financial institutions and other key stakeholders to discuss the key challenges and possible solutions surrounding the timely delivery of energy infrastructures, which are necessary to meet the EU’s renewable energy, internal market and security of supply goals. These include questions related to technologies, planning and permitting, regulation and financing.
