The HyER CHIC (Clean Hydrogen In European Cities) project analysed the experiences on authorisation procedures for hydrogen infrastructures and buses from Hamburg (DE), Cologne (DE), Whistler (CA), Oslo (NO), Aarau (CH), London (UK), Milan (IT) and Bolzano (IT) and produced a report on bus & H2 refuelling infrastructure certification.
The report takes a look at the refueling infrastructure and, in particular, the stakeholders involved in the issuing procedure, the laws and regulations applied, the permits acquired, the safety and technical standards, the methodologies for risks, the inspection protocol and the contingency planning, as well as the cost and the duration of the process. In addition, the report examines if the EU regulation for the homologation of the buses was applied in all cities.
