The national association Bulgarian Hydrogen Society (BG H2 Society: www.bgh2society.org) has been found to join the scientific potential of our country and to coordinate the realization of the Hydrogen Technologies in the Republic of Bulgaria.

BG H2 Society, under the auspicious of the European Hydrogen Association and the Prime Minister of Republic of Bulgaria, organizes within the International Year of Chemistry 2011:  “Week of Hydrogen in Bulgaria”, Feb 05-10, 2011

With the participation of Paul Lucchese, President of the New European Research Grouping on fuel cells and Hydrogen (N.ERGHY), Paris, France.

Preliminary Programme:

  • Feb. 5-6 – visit to BG H2 Society and Hydrogen Technology Centre of University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy (UCTM);
  • Feb. 7 – academic lecture of Dr. Paul Lucchese “Hydrogen Economy of Europe” in the Assen Zlatarov Hall of UCTM;
  • Feb. 8 – visit to the Mayor of Sofia and discussion: “Sofia – a capital city on hydrogen fuel“; meeting with the academic body of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and discussion: “Science and Hydrogen Technologies
  • Feb. 9 – meeting with members of the Bulgarian Parliament and discussion “Hydrogen and the Bulgarian National Priorities“; press-conference “Hydrogen Economy in Bulgaria
  • Feb. 10 – end of the HYDROGEN WEEK IN BULGARIA
