Compact and expert knowledge

Organised by the Fuel Cell Education Centre, the seminars vividly convey the necessary basic knowledge for further study of fuel cells and hydrogen. In addition to the physical-chemical basis, the seminars offer a descriptive overview of the application fields and the economic importance of energy fuel cell technology. Operating characteristics and applications of fuel cells can be at test facilities and demonstration plants reproduced at WBZU.

Background: fuel cells as efficient and versatile power converter

Fuel cells are universally applicable, from the vehicle driven by portable generators as well as in domestic energy supply. Because of their high efficiency and contribute to the Resource Conservation and release of “clean” hydrogen produced no carbon dioxide or air pollutants.
In certain market segments, such as generators or UPS, fuel cells are already available on the market. In the vehicle sector and in Hausenergieversorung current large-scale and very promising field trials are underway.
