HyPROFESSIONALS results on EHA website
HyPROFESSIONALS project, funded by the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking,  is focused on the development of educational programmes and training initiatives for technical professionals to secure the required mid- and long-term availability of human resources capable to properly operate the technologies safely.
The project kickoff took place Tuesday February 15th.  The projects 9 partner organisations coming from 8 different European countries came together in a collaborative effort to define the ambitions of the project and give the overall impetus to the project’s activities. EHA is the dissemination partner for HyPROFESSIONALS.

FC-HyGuide: Invitation to Public Consultation
The project FC-HyGuide aims to develop a Guidance Document for LCA studies on hydrogen production and fuel cell technologies. It is financed by the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU), a public private partnership supporting research, technological development and demonstration activities in fuel cell and hydrogen energy technologies in Europe. After several months of project work, a Technical Expert Workshop (held mid February 2011 in Brussels) and the revision of the draft Guidance Document the project team now wants to invite Stakeholders and interested people to critically comment on the advanced Guidance Document for: –       hydrogen production
–       fuel cell technologies This public consultation will be carried out from April 1 2011 until April 30 2011. Two documents (one for hydrogen production and one for fuel cell technologies). Further information may be found on the project website : www.fc-hyguide.eu

HYFACTS, Identification, Preparation and Dissemination of Hydrogen Safety Facts to Regulators and Public Safety Officials
HyFacts is a “Coordination and Support Action (CSA)” and aims to develop and initiate dissemination of training material for Regulators and Public Safety Officials, which are responsible persons and work for entities, having to position themselves in the increasing number of upcoming installation of hydrogen-related technologies in public areas, companies, universities, research centers, fairgrounds, harbor sites and other places where fuel cell and hydrogen (FCH) installations and mobile applications shall be installed and operated in the near future.
EHA in collaboration with FAST, will assist in identifying target audience and facilitate the understanding of the needs of requirements of training material.

The project is focused on the development of educational programmes and training initiatives for technical professionals to secure the required mid- and long-term availability of human resources capable to properly operate the technologies safely.
This will be done for various educational levels, including several countries with different experiences on the matter. Cooperation with other educational programs like Leonardo will be sought to launch new initiatives and projects which allow getting enough well-trained work force related to hydrogen technologies in a near future.
