100% renewable targets will require power storage to manage flows on the net

H2 gas can be stored in large quantities underground and transported via existing gas pipelines
H2 vehicles recharge faster and are more durable than battery powered transport
Growing H2 demand in industrial processes will reduce costs and increase supply

In Autumn 2014, the Renewables-Grid-Initiative will award a prize for the “Good Practice of the Year” . This award focuses on practice in grid development, is innovative and also on improvement to practices in the field of environmental protection, stakeholder participation or any other fields surrounding grid development.

All European and non European TSOs, DSOs, project developers, authorities and NGOs engaged in grid projects are invited to enter their good practices into the competition. The best practices will then be honoured at the 4th European Grid Conference in November this year.
