100% renewable targets will require power storage to manage flows on the net
Electrolysers utilise these intermittent power flows to produce H2 gas from water
H2 gas can be stored in large quantities underground and transported via existing gas pipelines
H2 vehicles recharge faster and are more durable than battery powered transport
Growing H2 demand in industrial processes will reduce costs and increase supply

The Detroit Auto Show 2011 seems to be dominated by high-end and affordable energy efficient vehicles this year, including hybrids and even fuel-cell vehicles: at the main floor was created the “Electric Avenue”, a 37,000-square-foot feature on the main floor of the 2010 show that will showcase electric vehicles and technology of both traditional automakers and innovative entrepreneurs. In this area people can see electric vehicles, learn about their production and drive it.

A number of manufacturers, like Porches, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Toyota, Honda, Chevrolet, Ford, Nissan, FIAT, Volkswagen and Mitsubishi are presenting their new cars at the Detroit Auto Show, namely hybrids, electric cars, and electric vehicles.
