Cella, a company specialized in hydrogen fuel cell, has recently developed unique ‘pellets’ which can be used to deliver fuel to hydrogen generators. The technology has the potential to be applied in many fields including the defense industry by providing portable power solutions. The company’s hydrogen fuel cells are three times as energy dense as lithium-ion batteries, weigh far less and can be produced in any design. Therefore, they can be easily suited to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles to increase the aerial time or be carried by soldiers or EMT crews in disaster zones.
