100% renewable targets will require power storage to manage flows on the net
Electrolysers utilise these intermittent power flows to produce H2 gas from water
H2 gas can be stored in large quantities underground and transported via existing gas pipelines
H2 vehicles recharge faster and are more durable than battery powered transport
Growing H2 demand in industrial processes will reduce costs and increase supply
When: 14 June, 2012

A rally for battery electric, plug in hybrid, bio-powered and hydrogen vehicles will take place on 14-16 June 2012.  The Zero Rally will run along the Green Highway between Sweden and Trondheim in Norway.

The collaboration between Zero Rally and Green Highway will demonstrate that practical transportation is possible without fossil fuels. Einar Håndlykken, CEO of the environmental organisation ZERO which organises the rally, says it is a unique opportunity for climate-friendly car enthusiasts to show their own skills and the performance of their vehicles in a challenging competition with professional rally drivers.

Anyone with a driver’s licence and a zero- or low emission car can partipate. Sign up here:www.zerorally.com/sign-up
