100% renewable targets will require power storage to manage flows on the net
Electrolysers utilise these intermittent power flows to produce H2 gas from water
H2 gas can be stored in large quantities underground and transported via existing gas pipelines
H2 vehicles recharge faster and are more durable than battery powered transport
Growing H2 demand in industrial processes will reduce costs and increase supply

HyER will be marking its 5th anniversary together with its member regions and cities across Europe with an annual public event on 24-26 June 2013 during the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW). Further details on the agenda and the venue will be confirmed. . The event will be combined with a Stakeholders’ Forum on the Green eMotion and the FR-EVUE projects on 24-25 June 2013.
