100% renewable targets will require power storage to manage flows on the net
Electrolysers utilise these intermittent power flows to produce H2 gas from water
H2 gas can be stored in large quantities underground and transported via existing gas pipelines
H2 vehicles recharge faster and are more durable than battery powered transport
Growing H2 demand in industrial processes will reduce costs and increase supply

On the way to the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP21) taking place this December in Paris, Mark Carney, governor of the Bank of England, said on September 29 that the climate change poses a huge risk to global financial stability, financial resilience and long-term prosperity. He urged that firms should be transparent and promptly disclose information regarding their current and planned emission targets and strategies. He added that tougher corporate disclosure standards must be agreed upon during the G20 meetings in order to provide investors necessary knowledge to judge climate change risks. The COP21 Summit will take place from November 30 to December 11 with the aim of limiting temperatures to no more than 2 degrees Celsius over pre-industrial levels.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has elected South Korean Professor Hoesung Lee as its new chair.
