100% renewable targets will require power storage to manage flows on the net
Electrolysers utilise these intermittent power flows to produce H2 gas from water
H2 gas can be stored in large quantities underground and transported via existing gas pipelines
H2 vehicles recharge faster and are more durable than battery powered transport
Growing H2 demand in industrial processes will reduce costs and increase supply
Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Projects Highlights

We invite you to check the latest update of hydrogen and fuel cell projects at the EHA Project Info, that includes the latest updates of projects that the EHA supports in disseminating results  and in promoting events. Our goal with this section is to give better visibility to the latest hydrogen and fuel cells projects results in the different areas:
1. Educational Courses
2. Guidance Documents
3. Material Handling Applications
4. Stationary fuel cell systems (under development)

Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Projects Highlights of this month:

  • H2TRUST is an online library, which is going to come out soon, in each of the main H2 application areas (H2 Production, Storage and Distribution, Mobility and Vehicles, Non-vehicles and residential power generation).
  • HyResponse project consortium is looking forward to see you in The First International Workshop on Hydrogen Safety Training which will take place on the 3rd and 4th of September 2014 at ENSOSP site in Aix en Provence, France.
  • ALKAMMONIA project consortium is looking forward to meet you in LCA Workshop led by Paul Scherrer Institute this November in Brussels. More information will be published soon.
  • POWER-UP is world’s largest alkaline fuel cell system. The stationary alkaline fuel cell power plant of ca. 500kWe is going to be build in Stade, Germany. More information will be published soon.
  • DON QUICHOTE is the next logical step towards the integration of ‘renewable electricity’ and ‘hydrogen’.

We are looking forward to hearing your feedback!
