The Hydrogen Education Foundation announced that the 10th annual Hydrogen Student Design Contest will challenge student teams to design a transportable, containerized hydrogen fueling station solution.

Registration for the contest, supported by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, is open at www.hydrogencontest.org until 15 January 2014.

Through the Contest, multidisciplinary student teams will demonstrate their talents in engineering, public planning, architecture, marketing, and entrepreneurship. In previous years, teams have designed fueling stations, airport systems and green buildings – all using hydrogen.

The Grand Prize winning team will receive an expenses-paid trip to present their winning entry to hundreds of industry professionals in a session at the Advanced Clean Transportation Expo 2014, 5-9 May in Long Beach, CA.

Interested students should register online and review the rules and guidelines.

Companies interested in sponsoring this student activity should contact Emanuel Wagner, Hydrogen Education Foundation at ewagner@ttcorp.com or +1-202-223-5547 x360 by 13 January 2014.
