The French Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Platform General Assembly on June 21st announced evolution of the Platform. HyPaC and the “Association Française de l’Hydrogène” will join their efforts to accelerate hydrogen and fuel cell technologies’ deployment in France.
Regions and municipalities in the Öresund – Kattegat – Skagerrak area have expressed a political will to enforce the use of emission-free vehicles. Next Move is an EU-funded project that facilitates cooperation across borders to meet strategic challenges like purchasing and service, for the regions and municipalities that want to become early users of these vehicles.
On 13th June 2011 the Spanish Hydrogen Association organized in collaboration with car manufacturer, Honda the “Official Presentation of the FCX Clarity in Madrid”. The major of Madrid took part in the event as well as the General Director of the Ministry of Industry. The President of the Spanish Association also gave a presentation which explored the status of hydrogen development, deployment, and research in Spain.
H2 Logic and Hydrogen Link announced 20 June 2011 the launch of a new hydrogen refueling station in Holstebro, Denmark.
It is the first 700bar refueling station as part of the LINK2009 project that has been supported by the Danish Energy Agency EUDP program with a project budget of €5 million.
The Ecole des Mines d’Albi is organizing from June 7 to 10, 2011 a training session entitled “The hydrogen markets: from research to applications.”

and technicians stationed in the industry
or field service communities authorities,
elected officials.
Coordinated by the Spanish Hydrogen Association (www.aeh2.org) and the Energy and Environment ARIEMA, SL (www.ariema.com) over 200 students have taken part in the course with the help of professional experts in hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. The 10th edition began on the 30th of May untill July 8th.
The City of Perugia is the project leader of “H2 Power Hydrogen in Fuel Gas” project co-financed by the European Union under the Life EU program. The project sees the participation of APM (the local public transport company) and Egenera (Perugia company that deals with generating and saving energy).
A hydrogen fuel station is to be built in Swindon, UK, at the site of a Honda car manufacturing company. Swindon has received a £250,000 grant from the South West England Regional Development Agency to build the ultra-modern fuel station.
Environment Minister Stefania Prestigiacomo signed the decree of the environmental compatibility of the construction of a plant for the production of pure hydrogen from natural gas at the Milazzo refinery.
