Intelligent Energy Europe 2012 Call for Proposals Open

Running until 2013, the programme is open to all EU Member States, plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Croatia and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. A budget of € 730 million is available to fund projects and put into place a range of European portals, facilities and initiatives. In 2012, there will be € 67 million available for funding.

European EV Battery Forum

European EV Battery Forum, to take place in Barcelona, Spain, 20-22 March 2012 will be the 5th edition of its series. It will start with a training course on Monday 19th and then a full day on E-Bikes, a full day on EV Charging Infrastructure, and a 2 day conference on EV business models and latest energy density advances.  

North American International Auto Show

The North American International Auto Show is taking place in Detroit, Michigan on 9-22 January 2012. NAIAS 2011 featured 53 vehicle debuts with 32 of those being worldwide introductions. Over 5,000 journalists attended from 55 countries. More than 735,000 visitors passed through the doors during public days. This year, more than 2000 companies represented by 21,000 professionals from the industry are expected to attend the show, and more than 500 vehicles will be on display.

EV Charging Infrastructure & Grid Integration 2012

To take place in London, UK, 18 – 19 January 2012, the EV Charging Infrastructure & Grid Integration 2012 EV Charging Infrastructure & Grid Integration 2012 will be a global multi-stakeholder summit bringing together leading utilities, vehicle manufacturers, distribution system operators, standardisation bodies and regulators from Europe and Asia.  They will provide the latest business models for infrastructure investment and mobility services, case studies of successful E-Mobility projects and consumer behavioural studies, and provide the latest technological advances in fast-charging, smart-metering and ancillary systems. A diversified agenda aims to allow attendees to compare business cases, evaluate implementation costs and discover technical solutions for investing into a commercially viable charging infrastructure. Brussels Motor Show 2012

After 90 editions and 110 years the Car & Motorcycle Salon remains the country’s largest event. The Salon accommodates 100,000 m2; of cars, motorcycles and accessories. The event offers Belgian, European and world premieres, unmissable prototypes and concept cars, the very latest models on the Belgian market and a range of entertainment for young and old. This year, a 400-metre long outdoor test track will be made available so visitors can take various manufacturers’ electric models for a free test drive. Many Manufacturers will be premiering new electric models for test drive and display. European Fuel Cell Conference and Exhibition 2011

4th edition of “Piero Lunghi Conference” intends to outline the international state of the art of fuel cells and to provide short, medium and long-term visions on research and development in the field, as well as on market opportunities, global policies and future energy scenarios.
The conference aims to reply to the several open questions which continue to challenge the fuel cell world. It will be our target to provide a clear picture of the status of fuel cells, to consolidate the vision and reframe strategies and objectives, and to promote systematic collaboration between industry, research institutions, customers and society.

The event will take place in Rome during December 14-16, 2011.

Après-midi H2 conference Midi Pyrénées

The Après-midi H2 conference will take place December 19th 2011 at the Luxembourg Palace Paris, France. The event is organized by the pHyrenees, a local hydrogen organization representing the French region of Midi Pyrénées. High-Level decision makers and industry representatives will gather at the meeting to exchange views on status and opportunities. During the event, HyER Chair, Andreas Ziolek, will present the Broadened HyER partnership, its new activities, and will outline the association’s future plans.

Tokyo Motor Show

The Tokyo Motor Show starting on December 3, 2011 will exhibit all 14 manufacturers and 15 brands of Japan as well as several companies from abroad. The “Smart Mobility City 2011″ will be held as a themed project. The project will showcase next-generation automobiles and the social systems with which they interact to highlight the roles and responsibilities of the automotive industry amidst growing concern over the global environment and resources.
