Work shop Fuel cells for UPS – Uninterrupted Power Systems, Brussels Belgium – 15 September 2010

Fuel Cell Europe will be hosting a workshop on fuel cells and hydrogen in Brussels at the Euro Keys sprl premises on the 15th of Septemeber 2010.

This workshop will focus on fuel cells for Uninterruptible Power Supply, in particular for back-up and stand alone power applications. Speakers and participants will debate about the market perspectives and strategies for the deployment of fuel cells technologies for UPS, in applications such as Data centers, Hospitals, Telecom or Public security related organisations. Emphasis will also be placed on sharing best practices and discussing the state of the art of fuel cell technologies for UPS.

Formula Zero Hydrogen Racing Championship, August 19 2010 – The Hague, Netherlands

Motorsport has proven to be a very effective way to introduce innovations in the automotive sector. This mechanism is used to introduce innovative zero emission mobility solutions to a mass market. Formula Zero understands the underlying principles and has the capabilities to deliver competitions, events and cutting edge know how. Formula Zero promotes well-to-wheel zero emission racing.

The Formula Zero Fuel Cell Championship 2010 season is a zero emission series and is set to run on August 19, 2010 in The Hague, Netherlands.

Top international universities and companies will design, build and race their own hydrogen fuel cell racing vehicle. The choice of fuel cell will be open. With this open series, Formula Zero aims to stimulate innovation in this sector. The season will consist of four to six races in high-profile locations around the world.

The Formula Zero race class has begun with a student edition in which international university teams competing with their own designed and fabricated hydrogen fuel cell racers.The first race was held in August 2008 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

The 5th symposium “Hydrogen & Energy” serves as an information platform of the fundamental science and the frontiers of research in Sciences and Technology of Hydrogen & Energy (Hydrogen Production, Hydrogen Storage, Hydrogen Applications, Theory and Modelling, Fuel Cells, Metal Hydride Batteries, Functional Materials).

The 5th International Symposium on Hydrogen Energy will be held on January 23rd until 28th at the und Wellnesshotel Stoos, Switzerland. It serves as an information platform of the fundamental science and technology and the frontiers of research on hydrogen and energy.

The symposium consists of invited keynote lectures reviewing the key elements of the hydrogen cycle, i.e. the hydrogen production, hydrogen storage and hydrogen combustion and fuel cells. Third Annual JTI Stakeholders Meeting takes place on November 9-10 in Brussels

The third annual JTI Stakeholders Meeting will take place on November 9-10 Brussels. As in previous editions the EHA is offering to mobilize its links with 17 national member associations to ensure a broad coverage of programmes and developments at national and local level in Europe. The EHA is planning a dinner event on the eve of the meeting on November 8, 2010 on the occasion of its 10th anniversary of hydrogen promotion in Europe. Founded by 5 national hydrogen associations in 2000, with now 17 national associations the EHA aims at covering the rest of the content before the start of market roll out in 2015!
