Ségolène Royal the French Ministre of Environment met the partners of the MHYRABEL project in Meurthe et Moselle (Lorraine)  on December 30, 2016 , together with the Secretary of Public Finance Christian Eckert. On this occasion the minister referred to the 39 winning projects of the Call for projects Territoires hydrogène, launched in May 2016 together with the State Secretary of Industry. More than a 100 projects were submitted on topics like Transport,  Storage etc).  The program “Nouvelle France Industrielle” seeks to suppoert demo projects to develop sustainable business models.

The MHYRABEL project located in the most windy region of France with 2.500 MW wind power installed is looking at storing electricity through electrolysers to put  the “green”hydrogen in the gas network or for transport and  spaceheating. ENGIE and CEA SODEGER are the main partners.
