This year’s Innovation Forum, organised by the European Voice, will be held on 5 October 2011 in the Royal Academy of Arts and Sciences in Brussels between 1pm and 5.30pm. The Forum will have a particular focus on the climate challenge and resource efficiency, and look at how innovation can unlock the path to green growth and a low-carbon economy. The event will bring together industry leaders, innovators, thinkers and senior policy-makers. Among many issues, key topics will include innovative technologies in the various sectors, including energy, transport and ICT, regulatory issues, EU policies and how to finance innovation. The questions addressed will include: Does the EU have the right policy framework to promote innovation? What policy decisions are needed to move to decarbonise the energy and transport sectors by 2050? What role can IT play in making the shift to greater resource-efficiency?
