Mercedes-Benz and Honda FCVs hit the roads

More hydrogen fuel cell vehicles will soon be hitting the roads in the United States! As part of the market introduction strategies of their fuel cell models, Mercedes-Benz and Honda recently announced they will be leasing a small number of their B-Class F-Cell and FCX Clarity models respectively to select Southern Californians. The limited geographical availability is due to a necessary focus on the reach of the hydrogen refueling stations in the State. Honda added they expect to roll out more vehicles for lease as additional hydrogen-refueling options become available.

An inside look at the Emeryville hydrogen station

The California Hydrogen Business Council, USA (CHBC) will hold its General Meeting on October 13, 2011 at the AC Transit Facility in Oakland, California, US. During the meeting will several speakers for the industry will present their views to inform the interested parties on what new technologies are speeding fuel cell products to market, what is the impact of renewable hydrogen on commercialization, and their experiences from offering fuel cell products to customers to meet their energy efficiency needs. The presentations will be given under two sessions, Renewables in and New Technologies. Presentation topics include Waste Water to Hydrogen, Farms to Fuel Project Using Stationary Fuel Cells, Ammonia as a Hydrogen Carrier, Linde Technology Update.
